Hi, I am Stacey from Health and Wellness. I have 3 grown kids and I have been in this field for over 25 years.
Who am I
I am an entrepreneur, bestselling author, speaker & coach. I am the founder of The Complete Herbal Guide, and I have empowered hundreds of thousands of people from countries worldwide through my books, websites, e-courses, educational videos, and live events.
For more than two decades, hundreds of thousands of people have enjoyed the warmth, humor, and transformational power of my health and personal development events, articles, and books.
People from around the world have tapped me for personal coaching. I am a health, lifestyle, and epilepsy coach. In addition, I have changed people’s lives through numerous speaking events.
I speak at small, medium, and large events. Although, size doesn’t matter. What matters is that I am helping people positively transform their lives.
I have spent the last 25 years using my abilities to give back. I am on Epilepsy Patient Advisory Council sponsored by Sunovion Pharmaceutical and Eisai Pharmaceutical. I do community volunteer work for H.O.P.E. Mentor for the Epilepsy Foundation, Volunteers and Advocates for the Family Resource Network: A leading provider of family support services to individuals with intellect, a Board Member for the Monmouth Ocean Community Impact Board, and Volunteer, advocate, and service provider for getting FIT.
I had over 20 books published. I wrote for the Huffington Post, Huff Post, and Thrive Global, and she has been a guest on the Dr. Oz Show 5 times, local news, and numerous radio shows.
I originally studied marketing and advertising and was hired by NBC back in the day and other big companies. I worked on their shows in New York, but my true passion was health and holistic healing. So I left and began creating a career around my true passion. Health and helping people.
I started working with an herbalist and he taught me a ton of stuff and I became very knowledgeable in the holistic health field.
I applied it to my blogging life. Now how do I make my life more efficient so that I can blog and grow my business while still managing little children? Because at the time I started all this I had two babies and one on the way.
I used to write while they were napping.
I know it’s hard but if I could do it so can you.
I’ve been able to grow my blog from nothing to over $25,000 per month which is a phenomenal blessing it has completely changed our lives.
11 Steps To Making Money Blogging
Anyway so here are the 11 steps that I recommend you go through before you start your blog is I have a link in the post so everything I’m going through
here is a step-by-step explanation in the post so you can go through this and then follow everything along.
But don’t worry I’m going to talk you through it so that you kind of get some encouragement and hear it from me and then you can just go apply all the steps
in the blog post because I know it can get overwhelming if you’re new to this.
1. Have a passion
Find your passion what can you not stop yapping about. Find your passion what are you super passionate about what can you not stop talking about. What do your friends are like okay can you stop talking about supplements okay I got it. I got it. I know you like natural healing. But can you stop talking about it! I don’t know maybe trending clothes you can buy for pennies. Your friends are saying please stop.
So find what you’re passionate about and then think about how you can monetize that can you then turn that into a business where you can talk about that
specific topic and kind of the surrounding topics for a while so you can build a blog.
2. Find Your Niche
Niche down so you want to make a list because you probably have more than one passion. I know you’re passionate. So find your passions then you’ll see in the blog post that there are three of them.
- Your passion that you love
- Your strength so what are you really strong in so I might be passionate about supplements but I don’t really know a lot about them yet but I’m also passionate about herbals and since I’m a mom of three I know a little bit about how to raise kids and how you can help improve their health naturally
or maybe you’re a consultant right that would be awesome and then that’s one of your strengths and then lastly the last thing
- Profitable need for it so people purchased help on this particular topic or do people purchase products regarding this topic. So people purchase products, books, courses, and advice.
So you want to find where the intersection is of your passions, your strengths, and a profit right – what if people paid for it…you want to make sure that you really like the topic that you can write about it for a while. You want to make sure that you’re strong in it and that’s the smaller of the circles.
I’ll go into that in a minute but you also want to make sure that there’s a profitable need to make sure that people have purchased products regarding this
niche is there a way for you to make money off of this product or this idea right most likely there will be one.
So the last thing I want to just add is when you think about your strengths you might be super passionate about it and there’s a profitable need but you might not be an expert yet in it.
You might not be you might not know a lot about this topic that you’re so passionate about but that’s okay you can also use your blog to teach yourself more about this topic, so say for example herbals right you love it you love using them obviously, it’s a profitable market because a lot of people like herbals and are purchasing herbals and herbal supplements themselves so but you’re just starting out so through your blog and through posting consistently and helping others you’ll learn more about it you’re going to teach yourself too and then a few months from now you’re going to know more information than somebody just starting out so to a beginner you’re going to be an expert so you just have to be a couple of months ahead of whoever you’re teaching alright and that’s the way that you can then build your brand and your blog alright so that’s number two number.
3. Decide On Your Domain Name
So once you have what you want to blog about you want to find a name for this blog right so what are you going to call it? I advise making sure it’s short and simple and easy to remember don’t try to be too awkward. Don’t have weird spelling because people might not spell it correctly they might forget it. Don’t use like your kids’ names in it or something strange. Just just be simple and clean and keep it broad so that if you do change paths you can still use that
blog or if you sign up with the grow big plan that I use.
You can host multiple different domain names under one hosting package and we’ll get into that in a minute but that’s what I do because I am
constantly thinking well what about this. What about this idea I’m constantly buying domain names just so that other people don’t get them!
Then I build a blog out if I want to so decide on a very easy-to-remember short and simple domain name. One that you don’t have to think about too much.
You can get hung up on this step for a long time alright it’s more important that you start alright that’s step number three.
4. Choose a plan
To host your blog so you can start I use love Bluehost. It is awesome their customer service is super fast. If I have a problem they helped me with technical issues that I can’t do. When I broke my site once they got it back up and running within five minutes.
Wow, so they’re super helpful. They’re an amazing hosting company. I highly recommend them and all my blogs are hosted with them and I have tried other
hosting companies before but I love Bluehost.
5. Choose your plan to host your blog so they have a VIP package it gives you tech support along with other benefits. I knew that I would buy more than one domain name when I’m just starting out right I have one passion but what if I want to do this other passion too so the VIP plan allows me to host multiple blogs on one hosting package.
So it’s really worth it to invest in a really good hosting company and then go with that.
6. The Hack – Building the Website – The Theme
So there are exact steps of how you sign up. It’s not very hard at all. I even have a little time-saving hack. Bluehost has a WordPress package and you can pick the theme up and begin. I picked a theme. One was blossom. I got it because it was included in the blue host package. But it didn’t look professional like their demo. Then I went to the website that designed the theme and for $60 dollars they upgraded it to the newest version and built it to look like their demo for $100.00. Web designers can charge anywhere from $1500 to 10,000 to do what they did for $160.
7. Your Domain
BlueHost will transfer the domain you bought so you don’t have to do anything technically. Your domain name is like your address that’s how people find you. I
hope that helps. I’m just going through the steps so to make it easy so you get started. Follow it step by step then you log into your blog and you can start creating content
8. Creating your blog posts
It’s super easy.
- Create an appealing title.
- Create the content
- Add an image. Image is important. Make sure it’s appealing to the reader and relates to the content.
You want to make sure before you launch your blog and launching I mean ring make it live for everyone to see. Ask others what they think. Family, friends… Go live when you’re ready.
But not until you start promoting it is it not really going to get a lot of traffic to it so you have to put that effort out so before you start promoting it and launching it. I advise that you write three to five posts and these are posts that really go in-depth on the topic and the niche that you decided so say for example you’re doing herbals so you want to go and like write a post for lavender.
That would be what are the top mistakes that bloggers make or what are the essential equipment that you need when you’re starting using herbals to heal the body. Go into big overall topics so that when people come to your site you have three to five really good articles between like a thousand or two thousand words with links out to other resources so that they can read more and it shows that you are kind of you to have some the authority you’re linking to other helpful content and then have that on your blog before you start promoting it.
So just have a little something also have a good about me page so that people know who you are. Make them have a good image of yourself so when they’re coming to people follow people and not blogs so make sure that you can connect with your reader once they come to your blog. Alright and there’s some other things in the blog post that they can read.
9. Invest in yourself
If you’re finding that you’re struggling and that you don’t know how to create images or you’re struggling on this whole starting a blog a thing or you don’t know how to use Facebook or any of that there are resources out there and I have a ton of really good resources that I recommend.
You can go through my blog by the courses that I created that will be out shortly. Or sign up for my newsletter and you can learn a ton from my articles. Starting a blog finding your niche, getting traffic which is what you’re gonna have to do, and then monetizing it and then building your email list so there’s a lot of things to go through so don’t get overwhelmed if you do then look for the right resources to guide you.
10. Get traffic and I have links
In the blog post on how I use Pinterest to kind of loop my pins and I’m not using board booster to get traffic to my blog this really worked really well when I share it all on the blog so there are different ways to get traffic and this article is one of the ways that I can get traffic to my blog – so you can do this you can turn your blog post into a video and then you have two pieces of content. That took the covers the same topic right so I have the blog post on the one side and then I have the video so depending on who’s reading it. They might like to have the text or they might like to watch the video so even one piece of content you can create multiple types of content from that.
11. Make money from our blogs
What we’re all wanting to do with our blogs is make money so the top ways that you can make money off your blog are either through advertisements affiliates sponsor prose products and services what has worked really well for me is being an affiliate and advertising, products and services so find what your audience needs and likes and then deep dive into those types of monetization strategies and I have a really great link in the blog post where you can find out more how to monetize your blog.
Anyway so I’m Stacey and I’ve been able to grow my blog to $25,000 per month which is ridiculous and amazing and a huge blessing and I want to show you how to do the same thing even if you have little kids at home I know it’s overwhelming I know it’s hard but hell you can do it!
Like anything is hard in life. Being a mom is hard working, losing weight, and growing a blog is hard but it’s worth it!
Okay, it’s definitely worth it.
I also have a freebie if you sign up for my newsletter it’s the 12-month blog plan that takes you through the step-by-step process for the next 12 months making it simple for you to become a success.
